Lay Servant Ministries is more than just speaking!

Lay Servant Ministries Weekend Training

This weekend learning opportunity will be filled with fellowship in a setting specifically designed for spiritual growth. The registration fee includes materials, meals and lodging (two lodging options available, plus a commuter option).

Basic class: This class provides the foundation for sound Christian leadership in your local United Methodist church.

Advanced class: Prayer—A Guide to Praying for the People of God, is an opportunity to explore and strengthen the awesome gift from God that we call prayer.

Advanced class: UMC Heritage and Polity—Polity, Practice and the Mission of the United Methodist Church.

Anyone who has never taken a Lay Servant Ministries class should take the Basic Class first, then may take any Advanced Class of interest. A class must be taken every three years as part of the requirements for maintaining certification as a Local or Certified Lay Servant.
